Those attending this year’s Dodge County Fair will be able to enjoy one familiar act, as well as three first-time performers.

Jim Scheonike, president of the Dodge County Fair Association, said Monday that acts have been confirmed for the fair set for Aug. 18 to 22, 2010. He said attendees can also expect a few upgrades to fairground facilities that will make acts louder and brighter.

“We’ve made big improvements in lighting and sound in front of the grandstands that people can enjoy,” he said, adding that more upgrades will be announced in the near fear future.

The following acts are set to start at 8 p.m. on their respective nights:

Aug. 18 Josh Turner will return to Dodge County as the fair’s first main stage act of 2010. Turner also performed his country hits at the Dodge County Fair in 2007.

Aug. 19 Kellie Pickler will perform country-pop favorites like “Red High Heels,” “I wonder,” and “Things that Never Cross a Man’s Mind.”

Aug. 20 Tesla will take the stage for “rock night.”

Aug. 21 Eric Church will perform songs from his 2007 album “Sinners Like Me,” and his 2009 album “Carolina.”
Season passes for the fair will remain $25 in advance, or $30 at the gate. The cost of admission before 2 p.m. will remain $6. After 2 p.m. admission will be $10, up $1 from last year’s rate.

Schoenike also said that camping prices for sites close to the grandstand will also be increased.
