The smell of yummy fried food will fill the air as the Dodge County Fair starts this morning at 8am just 3 miles East of Beaver Dam, WI. Judging of foods, exhibits and other entries starts at 9am in the new open class exhibit building and other locations throughout the grounds.  Michael Ray opens for Kip Moore on the Grandstand Stage at 7pm.

This is the big day Exhibitors have been preparing for all summer, judging day and awards!  The pride and satisfaction of a public display of their work and the recognition that they have successfully completed their project.  Here’s the schedules for both; Open Class Judging and Junior Fair Judging.

Family Fun in the Midway at Dodge County Fair

Ride for hours at a discounted rate during Wristband Day on the Midway

From 10am to 7pm learn about animals and agriculture in the Family Farm Adventure Tent next to the Youth Building. The Family Farm Adventure Tent is filled with hands-on learning opportunities for kids of all ages. Activities will include a daily coloring contest, agricultural crafts and visits from farm friends. Also, be sure to test your knowledge with our Wisconsin agriculture trivia for a chance to win fun prizes. Games include Wheel-of-Farming, Adventure Tent Plinko, and the Commodity Carnival.

Enjoy the many Family FREE shows throughout the grounds starting with Pig Races at 2pm, Kandu Magic Show at 3pm and the educational Wild World of Animals show at 3:30pm. Show times continue throughout the day, view the entire schedule on our Wednesday Fair Page.

Be ready at 3pm because it’s Wristband Day on the Midway! Purchase a wristband and ride as many rides as you can from 3 to 9pm. Kids Games at the Dodge County Fair

Kids participate in the WXRO Bash with Games and Challenges for Fun and Prizes

Four local women are running for the title of 2014 Dodge County Fairest of the Fair. Starting at 5pm on the WTKM Stage, watch the final interviews and the crowning of the Dodge County Fairest of the Fair.

Learn some tips and tricks during the Brenda Murphy Idea Exchange 1 to 4:30pm with demonstrations from; Dodge County Pork Producers, Wisconsin Beef Council, Dodge County Dairy Promotion and Chef Chanse. Then it’s fun and games from 5 to 7pm in the WXRO Bash featuring a reverse raffle and an all over the road obstacle course.

Michael Ray and Kip Moore kick off the big name entertainment on the Grandstand Stage presented by WBWI 92.5 FM at 7pm. All seats are FREE with paid admission to the Fair and are available on a first come, first serve basis. You can sit on the track in your lawn chair or on the bleachers in the grandstands. After the concert, enjoy music in the WXRO WBEV Radio Park by the Madpolecats from Madison, WI.  The Madpolecats unique form of entertainment was developed by fusing together traditional bluegrass instruments with reggae/ska/punk influences, making rastabilly music or, skunkgrass.
