The 127th running of the Dodge County Fair saw 52,451 people enter the gates Wednesday thru Sunday. New blacktop roads added in July got tested with lots of traffic during the five days and resulted in a lot less dust and easier for strollers and wheelchairs than previous years. The prior years attendance provides funding for improvement projects the following
year. Improvements in the facility help to attract more events throughout the year, keeping youth and local groups involved in the community.
Plan now to attend the 2015 Dodge County Fair, August 19-23
New this year, the Fair offered two nights of opening acts on the Grandstand Stage before the headline performer. Michael Ray opened for Kip Moore on Wednesday and Super Super opened for Cheap Trick on Friday. Being able to see extra entertainment FREE with paid gate admission to the Fair is a great value for our Fans.
The Dairy Youth Advisory Committee introduced the Moo Booth this year in the Netwurx Junior Dairy Barn. It included fun and exciting activities for kids including coloring stations, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and more. Kids interacted with many different calves, various types of feed, and learned more about the dairy industry. The Moo Booth was sponsored by the Professional Dairy Producers Foundation, Vita Plus, Tractor Supply, Culver’s, Voigt Farm Sales, Hildebrandt Family Farms, RemRock Farms, Smith-Crest Holsteins, the Dave Thorman Family (Ka-Da-Ayr Farms), Sellcrest Farm, and Seth’s Swiss.
