Storms passed through the area dumping heavy precipitation which resulted in standing water on the track and unmanageable mud. The decision to cancel the event was not easy but the track preparation would have been impossible given the circumstances. Weather and dirt track racing is somewhat a love, hate relationship at times. Track crews have to constantly adjusting to the forecast and conditions to get it right.
The night was set to host three traveling divisions in one show; The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints, MSA 360 Sprints and the Mid-American Stock Car Series for the SCAG Power Equipment Shootout. Big prize money and a close points battle between Ben Schmidt of Plymouth, WI and Plainfield, Indiana native Bill Rose. Only 100 points separates them between the one and two spots in the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Car points.
