Spotted Cow from New Glarus Brewing will be available at the Dodge County Fair August 17 through 21. The grandstand concessions, managed by Bayside Supper Club was able to get some of the first Spotted Cow in cans. As long as supply can keep up to demand, it will be available throughout the Fair. Signs were just recently installed and posters created by Rivercity Distributing of Watertown, WI.

New Glarus Brewing Company Owner Deb Carey announced a new canned beer line this spring. “We’re really trying to take care of our consumers and we’ve had a lot of requests from people, who are campers and boaters and out on golf courses, that they would like this environmentally friendly package,” said Carey. “It’s a lot lighter, it’s cost-effective and I think this generation is used to drinking things out of cans, so we’re really excited about it.”

Carey said all of products used for the new canned beer will come from Wisconsin companies, including the cans, the machine that fills the cans with beer and the paper packaging for the 12-packs.

Ball Corporation in Fort Atkinson is providing all of the cans.

“I’m focused hard on creating jobs in our state,” said Carey. “I am a Wisconsin native and I’m very proud of it and I’m proud of the fact that we can sell 200 thousand barrels of beer and only be in one state.”
