38 Special will thrill fans with their signature southern rock sound at the 2017 Dodge County Fair on Saturday evening.  Beaver Dam is just one of the band’s many stops, as they tour more than one hundred cities each year. 38 Special has been touring relentlessly since they first assembled in 1976.  And, they will perform with the same explosive power on the grandstand stage on Saturday, August 19 at 8:00 pm. Grandstand admission is always free with paid gate admission to the Fair.

Engaging fans for close to four decades, 38 Special has released more than fifteen albums since the late 70’s. Classic rock enthusiasts will recognize their popular hits, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” and “Second Chance” to name a few.  On stage, the band will celebrate with their classic hits, but will also surprise fans with fresh, new material.  Their numerous gold and platinum albums spanning over the decades speak to the endurance and legacy of this legendary group.

Don Barnes, one of the group’s guitarists/vocalists says, “When those lights go down and we all walk up those steps to the stage and hear that crowd roar, it’s a real rush to the head. It feels like we’re getting ready to strap ourselves in and it just takes off from there.”

Grandstand admission is always FREE with paid gate admission to the fair.  Gate admission is only $7 before 2:00 pm and $10 after 2:00 pm.  Age 9 and under are free.  Season tickets are available for only $27 before August 16 ($35 there after).  Tickets may be purchased at most Dodge County Banks, Recheks Food Pride, Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly or at the Fairgrounds Office. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.  There are no advanced daily ticket sales or reserved seating.  Information regarding concert seating and chair and blanket placement is available on the FAQ section of our website.
