The second annual Badger State Truck Show will provide non-stop entertainment at the Dodge County Fairgrounds this Friday, Saturday and Sunday – July 20-22. Come for the top-notch Badger State Truck show and stay for a fantastic entertainment lineup and family-friendly activities that are scheduled all weekend long. Bring the whole family for this unique event. There will be something for everyone to enjoy at the Fairgrounds. Both children and adults will have the opportunity to see an estimated 300 amazing semi-truck tractors and trailers on site and families will enjoy an up close and personal experience with free truck rides and free musical entertainment. Free truck rides will begin at 10:00 am on both Friday and Saturday morning.

The 2018 Badger State Truck Show is being dedicated to the memory of Ryan “Thumper” Mitchell, who was the Badger State Truck Show’s Vice president. Ryan lost his life in the fall of 2017.  Funds raised this year will be deposited in a trust fund for Ryan’s daughter and as the show grows funds will support mental health charities.

Last year’s inaugural event drew in over 1,000 attendees supporting local businesses in the Beaver Dam, WI and the Dodge County area. Grandstand admission is only $10 for youth and adults ages 12 years and older. Attendees can enjoy free parking and viewing of the trucks on display all weekend long. The Badger State Semi-Truck and Pull will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday evening, with the People’s Choice Awards announced before the pull begins.

The non-judged truck show will be open to all commercial trucks. The registration and pulling fees are only $35.00 each for each truck. The Badger State Truck Show and pulls are open to all truck classes. Registration will take place from 8:00 am until Noon on both Friday and Saturday.

The evening fun starts Friday night, when Sammy Ray and the Geoff Landon Duo take the grandstand stage from 4:30-6:30 pm. Sing along, as the group will perform both classic and current rock, country and pop hits. After a brief intermission, Westfield will entertain the crowd with their modern country and rock and roll sound from 7:00-11:00 pm.

Saturday, attendees will enjoy the sound of Dixie Duncan from 4:30-6:30 pm and On the Rocks from 8:00-Midnight. On the Rocks will perform chart-topping rock and country hits from the 1970’s and recent decades, as well as current, familiar hits.

The three day event will also be helping promote local, small businesses at the vendor event being held on site. Truck show attendees may shop with local vendors and test samples from Pampered Chef, Plexus, Thirty-one, Mary Kay – and more.  The small business vendor event will take place on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until Noon. Vendors from the trucking industry will also have booths available for browsing, shopping and asking questions.  Interested vendors and businesses may still register online or contact [email protected] to express interest in space.

Like many events, volunteers are still needed to make this new event a success.  Please consider contacting [email protected] to volunteer your time or resources.
