Approximately one hundred cars, trucks and vans will fill the Dodge County Fairgrounds again this year on the final afternoon and evening of the fair. The Demolition Derby events will conclude the 2019 fair season. The afternoon derby is scheduled in the grandstands from 1:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, August 18th, with the two hour qualifying main event starting at 6:00 pm. Both events are FREE with paid admission to the Dodge County Fair. The derbies will be held rain or shine.

Purse money is listed at approximately $4,500 this year dependent on participation and vehicle count. Five classes will be showcased: full-size trucks, small compact cars, mid-size cars, full-size cars and “minis” (mini-vans and min-trucks).

Pre-registration is not available for the events. Therefore, interested participants should arrive at least three hours ahead of show time (by 10:00 am) for registration and vehicle inspection. The registration fee for the demolition derby is $50, however drivers will be refunded their gate admission at registration ($7 when arriving before 12:00 Noon).  All participants must have a fair admission ticket. Advance questions may be directed to Nick at 715-297-4447.

Drivers from all over Wisconsin will crash-it-out and entertain the crowds of families, car enthusiasts and thrill seekers in the grandstands.  These dynamic events are perfect for families – the kids will want to attend year-after-year, after they “ooh and aah” over all of the action on both tracks. Demolition Derby Coordinator, Jerry Paulus expects both events to be quite popular and well attended again this year.  Participants will travel from Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and the Madison area.

Want to make a whole day of your visit? Gear head fans can arrive Sunday morning for the Pernat Haase Meats 4WD Truck Pullat 9:00 am. The two-hour event features local pullers and the well-known Badger Truck Pullers Association members from throughout Wisconsin.

All of these action-packed events on Sunday are free with paid gate admission to the 2019 Dodge County Fair. Wednesday evening also features a free tractor pull showcasing the Badger State Tractor Pullers (BSTP) to kick-off a free evening entertainment lineup of events and concerts during the fair season. BSTP features various pro stock tractors and some of the top-running diesel trucks in the country and the event will feature two tracks, providing non-stop entertainment in the grandstands. Attend the fair for only $5.40 per day with the purchase of a season ticket.  Daily gate admission is only $7 before 12:00 Noon; or $10 after 12:00 pm.  Children age nine and under are FREE.  Season tickets are only $27 in advance or $35 at the gate.
