Don’t wait for the weekend to hit the Dodge County Fair with family and friends. Badger State Tractor Pullers will again bring the grandstands alive with the dramatic noise and revving horsepower during opening night of the Dodge County Fair. The event kicks off the 2020 fair season on Wednesday, August 19 at 7 pm. The pull has been overwhelmingly popular with families and vehicle enthusiasts since it’s Dodge County Fair debut in 2017.

The Badger State Tractor Pullers (BSTP) is the premier pulling association in the State of Wisconsin. The group formed in 1974, and has since then evolved dramatically, becoming one of the strongest pulling groups to compete against in the entire country. Many badger state pullers attend national events throughout the course of the year and are often tough-to-beat in competition. The Badger State Tractor Pullers have classes ranging from 1200 Horsepower up to ranges nearing 4000 Horsepower. This really helps diversify each event and keeps fans on the edge of their seats.

New for the 2020 season, BSTP introduced the Two-Wheel Drive Super Modified class, which will add the thunder of their blown V-8 Hemi engines to the fairgrounds. BSTP has also invested in a portable video board trailer with a large display screen. This big screen will allow every fan the opportunity to fully enjoy the show. Plans of displaying instant replays and leader distances between each hook will give non-stop action for the crowd.

The Badger State Tractor Pullers will be pulling at close to an astounding thirty events throughout the summer of 2020. These events are spread out across the Midwest: in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Don’t miss your opportunity to see their FREE event in Beaver Dam.

At the 2020 Dodge County Fair, Chris Feller (Waterloo) and Alan Paulson (Columbus) will be the BSTP “hometown pullers.” Both competitors have a great responsibility and vast knowledge in track and event preparation. Both Feller and Paulson and their experience help ensure that the Dodge County Fair pull runs smoothly.

In 2019, the Dodge County Fair Pull welcomed 54 competitors. There will be a similar number of competitors this year, on an even wider two-lane track – reaching 350 feet. Tractors will be pulling from turn four towards turn one on the race track.  Participating classes this year include: Pro Stock, Light Pro Stock, Limited Pro Stock, Super Farm, Pro Stock 4X4 diesel truck and the new Super Modified 2 wheel drive truck.

Crowds were estimated at approximately 6,500 fans across the grandstands in August of 2019 — leaving standing room only! Fans should make sure that they arrive early to this year’s event to get prime seating for the pull.

Individuals interested in participating and pulling a vehicle that meets all of the specific Badger State class rules will pay a single-hook fee the day of the event. For more information, visit the BSTP website or contact please contact [email protected].

The pull will kick off five days of free entertainment at the Dodge County Fair on August 19-23. With paid gate admission to the Fair, Thursday, Friday and Saturday will feature a FREE evening concert series, including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Starship, featuring Mickey Thomas and Blue Oyster Cult. An additional much-anticipated act (who will be announced in June) will take the stage on Friday evening. BSTP attendees will want to return to the fairgrounds on Sunday for the Pernat Haase Meats Four Wheel Drive Truck Pull and Demolition Derby.
