The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series is being forced to postpone Friday’s inaugural Fuzzy Fassbender Classic at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. A horrific weather forecast for the next few days with rain and unseasonably COLD temperatures is reason enough to cancel, but combined with the inability to find a replacement ambulance service (as our long time service cancelled Tuesday because of lack of staff…. not ambulances, but staff) was the last straw. High percentages of rain Thursday and again Friday morning are predicted, with overcast skies combined with temps in the 40’s was reason enough, as drying the big half-mile is a difficult task. By calling the event off early we hope teams and travelers can save a day off of work for another day. While we’ve heard of the ambulance service shortage beginning to hit the racing industry, we never expected it to hit us. We are working on alternative options for our future Dodge County events scheduled for later this season and are confident we’ll be fine by then, and are even looking at a potential mid-summer replacement date for the Fassbender Classic if at all possible. Otherwise we’ll move the title to our all ready scheduled Sept 24th Dodge Co date.

IRA will be in action this Sunday May 30th at the 141 Speedway in a 3 division sprint car Sunday FUNday, as the AutoMeter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints and IRA Lightning Sprints join in on the fun.
