The 2XTREME Monster Truck Show is returning to the Dodge County Fairgrounds for an energetic show. After a memorable visit in 2018, organizers appreciated the city of Beaver Dam and the relationship with Fairgrounds organizers that they are returning for another remarkable show on Saturday, June 25. With the wide open, rural space that the fairgrounds offers, there is no limit for how high and loud these monster trucks can soar and roar. Gates will open at noon, with the show starting at 2pm. The show will last approximately two hours.
Based out of Kansas, the 2XTREME Monster Truck Show will make more than forty stops across the United States and Canada this year. Beaver Dam is just a short drive from Milwaukee, Madison and the Fox Valley, making this a central day trip for families and monster truck enthusiasts across the state.
A pre-show meet and greet will take place on the competition floor from Noon until 1:30. Meet and greet participants may also obtain autographs from their favorite pilots. Attendees can get up close to the 12,000 pound monster machines and even take a ride on their favorite truck. Rides will take place before the show, at intermission and after the show concludes. Plan ahead so that you don’t miss this unique opportunity.
If that wasn’t enough, the freestyle segment promises to bring the group in Beaver Dam to its feet. It’s a crowd favorite. Fans won’t want to miss top participants like Bounty Hunter, Sheriff and Scarlet Bandit, who the industry has called “Queen of the Monster Trucks” with her popular female pilot, Dawn Creten, on board.
Families should feel extremely welcome as they walk through the Dodge County Fairgrounds gates.
“The story here is the family”, shares Franki Buckman, Marketing & Advertising Manager for the traveling show. 2Xtreme Monster Trucks Live, is a family-owned and operated company. The top two competitors, Jimmy and Dawn Creten, are a husband and wife team with four children of their own. The double act has built the foundation of their relationship from their common passion for the industry, which is enhanced with strong family connections and lots of fun and friendly rivalry. “Neither one of them holds anything (back) at all during their performance and competitions”, jokes Buckman. Jimmy is the two-time world champion.
Children twelve years and younger are encouraged to bring their own battery-operated Power Wheels to participate in the Young Gun Power Wheels Race during intermission. Families may visit the competition floor with their children and take advantage of these unique photo opportunities. Kids should remember to bring their helmet and a waiver will need to be submitted before the show. One winning race participant will receive an exclusive monster truck merchandise bag.
A variety of ticketing options and packages are available for purchase for this matinee show. Families will want to take advantage of the all-inclusive family four pack. “Families will be able to attend and experience everything that this event has to offer”, Buckman shares. Four attendees will receive admission and add-ons for the price of three – including an exclusive pre-show pit party, a free hero card for autographs at the meet and greet, a VIP souvenir badge and a free monster truck ride.
Advance general admission is $20. Children (3-12 years) are only $10. Children 2 years and under are free with a paid adult admission (while sitting on their parent’s lap). If capacity hasn’t been reached, tickets will also be available at the event. Purchasing your ticket early will give you half-off of your admission and reserve your spot to the one-time show. The event will be held rain or shine. And, plenty of free parking will be available at the fairgrounds.
Concessions will be available for purchase at the fairgrounds and absolutely no carry-ins are allowed. Exclusive event merchandise will be available for purchase, too – including toy trucks, shirts, flags and hats. Ear protection is encouraged and will be available in the merchandise tent. Attendees should plan on bringing cash or using the on-site ATM at the Grandstands as many of the add-ons options and concessions are cash-only purchases.
