Loading Events

The Junior Fair Foods and Food Preservation is a judging event for youth participating in the 4-H foods project. Exhibits are judged on composition, appearance, creativity, and presentation of food items. Entries are judged and displayed in the Youth Building at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds. Exhibitors prepare and discuss their preparation with the judge in many categories; muffins, biscuits, brownies, salads, entrees, soups, canning, pickling, food dehydration, and more. The friendships these kids make last a lifetime, and the knowledge and leadership skills gained develop them into outstanding future professionals. Support area youth with your attendance, applause, and congratulations for their hard work.
