Junior Fair Foods and Food Preservation Judging

The Junior Fair Foods and Food Preservation event is a judging competition for youth involved in the foods project. Exhibits are evaluated based on their composition, appearance, creativity, and presentation. Entries are displayed in the Youth Building, located at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds. Exhibitors prepare their food items and discuss their preparation with the judges in various categories, including muffins, biscuits, brownies, salads, entrees, soups, canning, pickling, food dehydration, and more.

The friendships formed during this event can last a lifetime, and the knowledge and leadership skills gained help these young participants become outstanding professionals in the future.
