Open Class Cultural Arts Judging
August 13, 2025 @ 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Dust off your brushes, sharpen your cutting blades and replenish your paint supplies because the open-class cultural arts division is calling all exhibitors with artistic talent. The “Art” category is for amateurs only and features a variety of mediums, including oil paintings and colored pencil works. The “Cultural Arts” category, also exclusively for amateurs, offers numerous options such as jewelry, ceramics, glass etching, handmade soaps, and Americana. There is sure to be a spot for your latest creation.
Judging will take place on Wednesday of the fair at 9:30 a.m. in the Open Class Exhibit Building. Be sure to read the instructions in the open-class exhibitor book carefully, as there are specific rules to follow depending on the type of artwork you are exhibiting.
Awards will be given for first, second, third, and fourth place in each category, and a best-of-show rosette will be awarded in both classes. Exhibitors and fairgoers are welcome to sit and observe the judging process.
