Home furnishings are categorized into five distinct classes. The “Machine and Hand-Embroidery” class includes a variety of items, such as pillowcases and wall hangings. The “Quilts” category is very popular, featuring subcategories like piece quilting, baby quilts, and wall hangings. The “Rugs” class encompasses a range of styles, including braided, latched, hooked, crocheted, woven, and miscellaneous rugs. Lastly, the “Miscellaneous” class offers about 40 different categories to choose from, covering everything from stuffed animals to counted cross-stitch and centerpieces. There’s sure to be a category suitable for your latest Internet-inspired craft project.

Judging will take place on Wednesday of the fair in the Open Class Exhibit Building at 9 a.m. In each category, awards will be given for first, second, third, and fourth places, along with a rosette awarded to the best in show. Exhibitors and fairgoers are welcome to sit and observe the judging process.
