Open Class Honey Judging
August 13, 2025 @ 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Beekeeping is a popular hobby in the Dodge and Jefferson County area due to the fellowship and education it offers. The honey open-class division provides beekeepers with the opportunity to showcase their products in a competitive setting. There are ten different categories, ranging from honeycomb to extracted honey and beeswax, among others. Judging will take place on Wednesday of the fair under the Grandstand at 9 a.m. In addition to awards for first, second, third, and fourth place in each category, a rosette will be awarded to the best in show. Both exhibitors and fairgoers are invited to sit and observe the judging process.
