A huge tractor pull followed by three nights of national touring artist concerts entertain country and rock fans. Two demolition derbies, a Horse pull, tractor pull, and truck pull at the grandstand plus food, fun and exhibits for the whole family.

Junior Fair Market Hog Show

A judging event for youth participating in the swine project is held in the Junior Livestock Building. Swine are evaluated based on their functionality, structure, balance, and attractiveness. The Market Hog Show is a terminal show, meaning that all youth exhibitors must be certified annually in Meat Animal Quality Assurance (MAQA) and attend educational project meetings throughout the year.

The open-class foods division offers a category for every taste preference and kitchen skill. Whether you love to impress your family with decorative cakes or want to make your guests emotional over canned salsa that's so good the flavor lingers for days, there’s a category for you. 

Open Class Home Furnishings Judging

Home furnishings are categorized into five distinct classes. The “Machine and Hand-Embroidery” class includes a variety of items, such as pillowcases and wall hangings. The “Quilts” category is very popular, featuring subcategories like piece quilting, baby quilts, and wall hangings.

Open Class Flowers Judging

Fairgoers can stroll under the grandstand during the fair to explore Dodge County’s open-class flower division. The exhibits showcase stunning displays, including single-variety bouquets, potted plants, artistic arrangements, and themed compositions. 

Open Class Farm Crops, Vegetables, and Fruits Judging

Farming has deep roots in Dodge County, and the love for the land is reflected in the exhibits featured in the open-class divisions for farm crops, vegetables, and fruits. Classes include husked corn, corn stalks, threshed corn, grain sheaves, soybean sheaves, hay sheaves, baled slices, and ensiled forages, as well as standard and unusual vegetables, potatoes, and various fruits.

Open Class Clothing Judging

The open-class clothing division consists of two main categories: children's garments, which feature around 20 different subcategories, and adult garments, encompassing more than 25 subcategories. Garments will be evaluated based on three key criteria:

This event is a judging competition for youth showcasing their clothing projects. The exhibits represent the original work of the exhibitors and are created as part of supervised project activities outside of regular school hours. All entries are evaluated based on construction, design, finishing, color, and overall application.

Junior Fair Cake Decorating Judging

Join us for a cake decorating judging event for youth participants. Exhibitors will showcase their skills in a Danish-style judging format, where their creations are evaluated based on techniques involving frosting, fondant, gum paste, and more. This popular class emphasizes creativity, placement, and presentation.

This event is a photography competition for youth who have captured images as part of their projects. The exhibits will be evaluated using the Danish judging system, focusing on composition, mounting quality, technique, and image clarity. Entries will be judged and displayed in the Youth Building, located at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds. 

Open Class Honey Judging

Beekeeping is a popular hobby in the Dodge and Jefferson County area due to the fellowship and education it offers. The honey open-class division provides beekeepers with the opportunity to showcase their products in a competitive setting. There are ten different categories, ranging from honeycomb to extracted honey and beeswax, among others.

Open Class Cultural Arts Judging

Dust off your brushes, sharpen your cutting blades and replenish your paint supplies because the open-class cultural arts division is calling all exhibitors with artistic talent. The “Art” category is for amateurs only and features a variety of mediums, including oil paintings and colored pencil works.

Junior Fair Beef Breeding and Feeder Calves Judging

This event showcases youth competing in Beef Breeding and Feeder projects. The beef cattle will be evaluated in the Farm Progress Arena based on functionality, structure, balance, and attractiveness. To participate, exhibitors must have attended and completed educational project meetings throughout the year.

Open Class Beef Cattle Judging

Participation in the open-class beef cattle division is encouraged for both adults and children. The breeds included are Shorthorn, Angus, Hereford, and a category for other beef breeds combined. Age classifications are as follows: junior calf, senior calf, summer yearling, junior yearling, senior yearling, and cows aged two years and over.

The pigs, ducks, and goats from Pleasure Valley Farm in nearby Adell, WI, entertain audiences with four shows daily during the Dodge County Fair. The racing pigs and other farm animals are the main attractions at the Laux family farm during the pumpkin season.

Junior Fair Market Beef and Showmanship Judging

The entries will be evaluated and displayed in the Youth Building located at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds.

Participants will be evaluated in person on the items they create for home use and/or child development. Open Class Knitting and Crocheting Judging

Knitting and crocheting remain popular hobbies that offer both utility and relaxation. Entries in this category are judged based on their suitability for purpose, design, evenness and perfection of stitches, neatness of blocking, and quality of seams and joinings. The "hand knitting" class includes approximately 20 different categories, ranging from adult sweaters to home accessories.
