The Junior Fair Horse Show is a judging event for youth involved in the horse project. The Poultry Project is excited to sponsor the Little Flock Showmanship Contest this Sunday in the Small Animal Building! We invite students in grades Pre-K through 4th grade who are interested in showcasing poultry to compete. Contestants will demonstrate their knowledge of proper poultry showmanship and handling techniques. Remember to pre-register!
An event for youth in 7th to 12th grade with intellectual disabilities like autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or other sensory-processing disorder. A pig show for youth with disabilities, at the Dodge County Fair swine and sheep barn arena on Sunday of the Fair at 10:30 AM.
In their 25-minute show, attendees will see a variety of breeds, from the popular Belgian Malinois to a 9-pound Chihuahua mix and more! Audience members also have the chance to win souvenirs through volunteer participation, or they can purchase their own after the show while meeting one of the four-legged stars.
A maximum of 16 participants from the Dodge County Junior Dairy Show will be featured in the auction. To qualify, these youth must have placed first in at least one of the 15 classes at the Dodge County Fair. The 16th lot will be selected through a random drawing from all dairy youth exhibitors who have submitted an educational card with at least 7 points.
