The Dodge County Canine Club will return to the Dodge County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12 for the United Kennel Club (UKC) Dog Show. The show will begin at 9:00 am and conclude in the afternoon, around 4:00 pm. Attendees are welcome to attend any events throughout the day and come at their leisure to cheer on their favorite competitors and breeds. Admission and parking are free for attendees throughout the entire weekend. This promises to be a fun and affordable event for the entire family. The Dodge County Fairgrounds is just a short drive from the Madison and Milwaukee areas.
Local dogs from the Dodge County area and across the Midwest are expected to participate in this year’s event. Previous events held in Beaver Dam showcased more than 100 dogs and their handlers. Conformation will take place in the youth building, while other buildings on the fairgrounds will be home to rally obedience, nose work (scent detection) and other various competitions. All events will be held indoors – rain or shine. Concessions will be also be available for purchase.
United Kennel Club was founded in 1898 and is currently operated out of the Midwest, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It remains the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world. UKC has registered dogs from all fifty states and internationally in twenty-five countries. UKC is known for its family-oriented nature as well as its educational events.
