The Dodge County Fair is right around the corner …. Are you planning to eat a 4-H cream puff or a funnel cake? Will you be strolling through one of the animal barns? Will your family be riding the ferris wheel? Revisit fair favorites or find new exhibits on August 18-22 at the Dodge County Fair. The back of this year’s gold shirt will display twenty-five must-see-stops on a bingo card, while the color further supports the local community.
It has been several years since the Dodge County Fair offered souvenir shirts. But designer, Gena Bush, created these shirts to help support the return of the fair and the annual shirts, which will help improve and support ongoing maintenance at the fairgrounds.
Bush, owner and designer of the Beaver Dam/Juneau area Design Solutions, says that attendees “could fill up a whole bingo card!!!”. She offers that those who purchase the shirts can simply use them as a souvenir or they can physically go from activity to activity and check them off of their bingo card. She shares that these shirts are to add a sense of fun to the five day fair.
After Bush designed three unique shirt designs, the non-profit Dodge County Fair Association landed on the fun, bingo card design.
“The shirt is just to show that there’s a lot to do and a variety at the fair”, states Bush, who has owned her own marketing business in the area since 2001. Design Solutions also offers embroidery, vinyl lettering and sign, promotional products, silk screen and graphic design. Examples can be found on the Design Solutions Facebook page.
Two shirt options are currently available for purchase at the Dodge County Fair Office, located at WI-33 in Beaver Dam. Shirts can be picked up Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm until the fair opens on August 18. Attendees at the fair can also pick up their shirts, during office hours from 8am-9pm. T-shirts are only $10 and sweatshirts can be purchased for $20. $2 from each shirt will support the Dodge County Fairgrounds and future care of the facility.
And, don’t forget that parking is always free at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. There is even a free space on your bingo card to remind you of that!
