Tracy Byrd’s 2024 tour will make more than forty stops in stadiums and venues across the country, but on August 15th, Beaver Dam locals will have the opportunity to sing along to dozens of his hits among the fields in their hometown. Dodge County fans only need to pay their daily gate admission to the fair and will enjoy the free general admission concert at 8pm on Thursday. This year, the American country music artist has been busy touring with popular artists like Sara Evans, Little Texas and Jo Dee Mesina. His Beaver Dam concert will be up close and personal, giving fans an intimate dose of his charismatic personality and exceptional sound – all with a familiar, rural backdrop.
Byrd is no stranger to giving exceptional performances on the road. Between 1992 and 2009, he took the stage more than 4,000 times across the world. After a four-year pause from performing, a rested and appreciative Byrd came back to the stage. In 2014 he approached crowds with a new set of bandmates and a fresh, sober outlook on life, music and performing. His tours that followed have been some of his most enjoyable experiences. Grab a seat in Beaver Dam on August 15 and be a part of his next phase of entertaining.
Byrd is appreciated for his love songs like “The Keeper of the Stars”, which won Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music Awards in 1996. Fans will also recognize his hits like “Watermelon Crawl”, “Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo” and “Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous”.
Byrd kicks off three evenings of free live music. Matt Stell will hold a free concert on Friday at 8pm, with Grand Funk Railroad performing on Saturday at 8pm. The Badger State Truck & Tractor Pull held on Wednesday at 7pm and two demolition derbies by Crash Crazy Motorsports on Sunday at 1 and 6pm.
