Your Dodge County UW-Extension (UWEX) Agriculture Agent, Mike Stanek will be available at the Dodge County Fair as your “Plant Doctor.” Stanek will be available at the Master Gardeners booth located in the Youth Building from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, August 15th and Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 17th.
Please bring in a live sample of your troubles from the garden, field, or lawn, or weeds for proper identification and control recommendations. Samples should be one plant stem, a clump of stems dug from the ground, or a portion of the aboveground plant with flowers or seeds attached. Please place your fresh sample in a paper bag and bring to the Master Gardeners booth.
Stanek is Dodge County’s UWEX Agriculture Agent, offering educational programs in the areas of crop production, soil management and horticulture. He can address your questions and concerns regarding plant, insect and disease diagnostics and also works with the Private Pesticide Applicator Training Program, Youth Tractor and Machinery Safety Courses, Master Gardeners and the Dodge County Forage Council.
