The Dodge County Fair Association would like to thank everyone who attended the 2017 Fair season and made this season a success. Attendees, volunteers and organizers worked together to make this year’s Fair successful, safe and fun for everyone!
Close to 45,000 visitors entered the Dodge County Fairgrounds gates during the 2017 Fair season. The Dodge County Fair took place on August 16-20 and guests were provided beautiful weather conditions during a majority of the Fair. Visitors enjoyed familiar fair activities, judging, midway rides and delicious fair food. But, this year’s lineup was also filled with many new events and top-notch entertainment for the whole family.
The grandstands were packed with free admission to the Badger State Tractor Pull on Wednesday and the Demolition Derbies on Sunday. Three free concerts entertained thousands: The Oak Ridge Boys on Thursday, LOCASH on Friday, and 38 Special on Saturday evening. Although there was rain slated before the concert on Thursday evening, approximately 7,950 visitors still attended the fair. Attendance for Friday, Saturday and Sunday brought in 9,600, 11,500 and 8,500 attendees respectively. Other free activities included pig, duck and goat races, horse pulls and magic shows.
Attendance was up slightly from 2016; though the difference was only 500 visitors overall.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family next year with an exciting entertainment lineup and family-friendly activities at the 2018 Dodge County Fair. Mark your calendars for August 15 – 19, 2018.
