Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam is coordinating another Truck to Trunk meat, dairy and produce distribution event Monday, Oct. 19 from 12-2 p.m. at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. Please use the Fabisch Road entrance and follow the posted signs while in line.
The event is a collaboration between Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, the United States Department of Agriculture, and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and will provide residents with surplus produce, meat and dairy products. The program is open to everyone, but there is a limit of one box per vehicle.
Please:
- Do not exit your vehicle at any time
- Follow directions of posted signs
- Have room in your vehicle’s trunk or backseat to accommodate box of food
- Please wait patiently while others are served
Pre-packaged boxes will include chicken, meatballs, yogurt, cheese, milk, potatoes, carrots, apples, cabbage and squash.
Residents in need who lack transportation to the Fairgrounds can contact Beaver Dam Public Transit the morning of Monday, October 19, to schedule the delivery of a food box to their home/residence by calling 920-356-6519. Transportation will be provided as availability allows.
The cabbage, squash and carrots have been made available by Second Harvest Foodbank and the remainder by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin via the USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program created as part of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.
If we don’t live in the city of Beaver Dam but in Dodge County are we eligible? So if we can’t make the date and time we call the number listed to have them deliver. I really don’t think they will deliver all the way here. Can someone call me.
Thanks for asking Shannon, although this event was over 6 months ago so I’m sorry to say that this event has already happened.
