Hi! The map above shows the gate to line up at and specifically says Saturday only. Do we line up here for Friday concerts as well? What time does the gate open?
Here’s some information from our FAQ page: Friday, August 20, 2021 – (Jordan Davis concert) Chairs can be set up the night before and early morning as long as all litter has been picked up and put in garbage containers. Blankets can be placed in the grandstands at any time although we ask that you DO NOT tape or tie to the bleachers. After the show please take your chairs home with you to make room for Tractor Pulls on Saturday.
You can find the full details regarding this on our FAQ https://dodgecountyfairgrounds.com/faq-items/when-can-i-set-up-my-chairs-for-the-entertainment/
Thank you! Hopefully people are kind and do not move other people’s chairs.
It would make things easier if someone removed the taped plastic, blankets etc. on the grandstand bleachers after the show ends that some just leave there for all the events thinking they can reserve seats for all the shows.
Thank you for your concern Dale – We published a new process four years ago where “Unattended Seats Available at Show Time” so basically, blanket tape or not you’re welcome to sit anywhere at the start of the show. At least until we find someone to volunteer as the blanket police (laugh). What time will the general admission gates open for the Blue Oyster Cult show?
Great question TK – the concert area for BOC will open after the Tractor Pull is complete and the grounds crew has set up the area. There is a gate you can lineup at, shown on our concert seating chart at https://dodgecountyfairgrounds.com/dodge-county-fair/concert-seating/
Where can I buy reserved tickets for Blue Oyster Cult Concert it is my husbands 59th birthday and he really wants to see them so I wanted to get him closest to the stage without having to stand up (he has back problems).
Sorry, we do not sell advance, reserved, or front row VIP seats. All concert seating is first-come, first-serve. We do reserve a small section for radio giveaways, Fairest of the Fair and their family, and major sponsors of the Fair. Local radio stations will be holding contests to win seats in the VIP section, get more info at https://dodgecountyfairgrounds.com/faq-items/how-do-i-get-front-row-seats-or-backstage-passes/
