Confused. On Saturday we plan on attending Grand Funk Railroad. If I understand this correctly, I am able to place a blanket in the grandstand anytime on Saturday, say 8:00am. Then we stand in line later in the day to enter the grandstand first come selects the seats they want. Is this correct? Does that mean they could actually sit where our blanket is? Rally confused. Second, if we are not allowed to secure the blanket with tape or tie it down, is there a method we can us to prevent the blankets from being moved by wind, or accidently by people moving through the grandstand, etc. We use clips to secure our table cloths to picnic tables. Is this acceptable? Please clarify. Thank you.
Good questions… The first question, yes… you can place a blanket at 8 am then enjoy the Fair for the day until the concert starts. Second, the “stand in line” shown above is just for fans that want to be on the track. You will be able to go directly to your seats when you want. Third, clips are a good option. Thank you for asking.
I forgot to ask in my previous post; are those in handicapped seating allowed to have a caregiver with them, and he/she take a lawn chair in that specified area?
Yes, your family can join you in the handicap area as long as they are seated. Please bring your own chairs in case our supply runs out before you arrive. Thank you for asking.
I see a VIP Section on the concert seating chart. How do you get access to that area? I have looked for tickets to the Bret Michaels concert but don’t see any for sale. Everything just says concert admission included with fair admission, first come first served??
VIP area is for sponsors of the Fair and radio station winners, the while track will be standing room only for Friday https://dodgecountyfairgrounds.com/faqs/do-you-have-vip-front-row-seats-for-advance-purchase/
Any areas available to wheelchairs and/or motorized scooters for those who are handicap, for the Brett Michaels concert?
Yes, we have a large handicap area, you will see it on the Concert Seating Map available for all concerts https://dodgecountyfairgrounds.com/dodge-county-fair/concert-seating/
