The Dodge County Fair’s Open Class Exhibits are a popular event for people of all ages and skill levels across the state. Every year, hundreds of participants enter their creations in various categories. To get involved, you can pick up a printed copy of the exhibitor handbook at most banks in Dodge County, the Fair Office, or specific grocery stores in Beaver Dam and Juneau. An online version is also available for easy access and printing additional entry forms. If you have any questions about the Open Class Exhibits or the entry process, feel free to leave a comment or contact the designated superintendent for your area.
All exhibitors and anyone interested should join the Open Class Exhibitors Facebook Group

Hi there. I can’t seem to find the 2023 information on how to submit. Where can I find categories and how to submit online? Thank you! Harvey
Thanks for asking Harvey, the 2023 entry information for Open Class Exhibitors will be available early July.
I am just wondering if this is the open class premium book for 2021 or 2022?
Thanks for asking Angie – We currently have the 2021 book on the website, you’re welcome to use it as a reference to start your projects. From year to year, there are very few changes so you can start with this for now. Our goal this year is to have the 2022 book available on the website early June. The previous year exhibitors will receive a printed book by mail early July. Feel free to reply with any additional questions. Thank you!
Can i still enter my wooden bowls in the open class?
Yes, there are a couple of categories to enter wood bowls as long as you are an amateur. Cultural Arts page 71-73 (Division J-18, Class 44, Item 9) looks like a good fit, or possibly Senior Citizens woodworking if age 62 or older. Review these pages, and call the superintendent if you have any specific questions, they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!
Where can I find information about the lego displays in the youth building? Is there an open class for this?
Yes, you’re welcome to enter LEGO projects in Open Class Cultural Arts (Division J-18, Class 44, Item 16). The superintendent recommends displaying your item on a piece of wood so it’s easy to move and present for judging. More info on Cultural Arts is available in the book on pages 71-73. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
