1st Annual Gib Wiser Classic IRA vs All Star Sprint Car Circuit of Champions
June 2, 2023 @ 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Featuring the Tezos All Star Sprint Car Circuit of Champions and Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Car Series on the Horsepower Half-Mile Speedway!
The Friday June 2nd sprint car event, co-sanctioned by the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions and our Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series, looks to be the biggest in Dodge County Fairgrounds history, as proven by teams from across the country who have released their schedules. This event will have added local flare too as it’s name is synonymous with area short track racing, as the 1st annual Gib Wiser Classic will take to the horsepower half-mile.
Gib Wiser is a legend of Wisconsin racing. A 4-time IRA Champion 1982-85, 4-time Star Trac Sprint Car Champion 1982, 83, 84, 86, and 3-time Wilmot Sprint Car Champion 1983, 84, 86. “The Flying School Teacher” also picked up several Modified titles during his illustrious career including a pair at Francis Creek 1975, 80, Beaver Dam 1981-82, Plymouth (EWSC) 1975, and Wilmot 1982. Gib was inducted into the Southeast Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame in 2009, and his number 55 sprinter etched into the memory of many.

Feel free to post a question in the comments section below and we’ll answer within a few hours. If you check the box for “Notify me of follow-up comments via e-mail” you’ll get an email when we reply.
Are there carry ins of food and water allowed?
Thanks for asking Michelle – Sorry, Carry-Ins are not allowed, one water per person will be admitted.
Is there a senior discount?
Thanks for asking Chuck – the ticket price information we received from the event promoter did not have a senior discount listed. You’re more than welcome to ask at the ticket booth when you arrive. Enjoy the Sprint Car Race tonight!
Am I reading the restriction of saving seats correctly? Advance ticket holders have early access to claim a seat, and then have to sit there in near 90 degree temperatures and wait 2-1/2 hours for any action on track? I can’t save seats and tailgate at my vehicle for a while?
Thanks for asking, the Fairgrounds have been rented out for this show, and we can only answer basic questions. For more information please get in touch with the event promoter at https://www.irasprints.com/contact/
Would love to go….never been to your track…can’t get there til 6:30 or 7:00.
Is there probable seating by then in either grandstand of bleachers?
Also..will there be handicapped parking?
Please advise..thx,Ralph
Thanks for asking Ralph – We added additional bleachers for this event so hopefully there’s still some open seats if you arrive later today. Handicap parking is available just outside the general admission ticket gate. Have fun at the Sprint Car Race!
Are we allowed in the pits after the races have concluded?
Yes, thanks for asking Nicholas – the pits will open after the races for general admission to view the cars and talk to the drivers. Enjoy the Sprint Car Race!
