Do you offer motorhomes as well? I have parked my camper there and was told to remove batteries so would I also have to on my motorhome? Obviously once removed it can’t be moved like travel trailers.
Hi Dean, good question – Typically, motorhomes are parked indoors on arrival and not moved until the owner returns in the Spring for pickup. Unhooking the battery is a good practice but unsure if the volunteer storage attendants require this, be prepared for either on arrival this Fall for Winter Storage. Thank you for asking!
I plan to bing my camper/trailer for storage on Oct. 26. Please confirm the gate entrance location/address. I assume there will be a line at 8 AM. Any advice on the best direction to approach, if any would also be helpful. Thank you.
Please use the High Point Road entrance for Winter Storage, to help with directions you can search Dodge County Fairgrounds or N6885 High Point Rd Beaver Dam, WI 53916 and enter at the southeast gate. In past years, the line starts forming at 6 AM so yes, there will be a line if you arrive at 8 AM. Please reply here if you have any further questions, thank you for choosing the Fairgrounds for your RV Camper and Trailer Winter Storage.
With a folding hitch on a boat trailer do you count the hitch straight out or when it is folded when figuring the price. Thank you
Thanks for asking Jim – We would measure the overall length with the hitch folded, we are only concerned with the length taken up in the storage building. Thank you!
We are getting an influx from Dane county and Dodge County residents are being turned away. First date should be Dodge county residents only.
Thank you for the suggestion Mike – we will share this with Doug Ninmann the storage coordinator.
Do you need to reserve a spot or is it first come? Pay on the date?
Thanks for asking Kelly – Winter Storage spots are first come, first serve, pay on arrival.
