Open Class Home Furnishings Judging
August 14, 2019 @ 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Home furnishings features five different classes. “Machine and hand-embroidery” categories include everything from pillow cases to wall hangings. “Quilts” is a very popular class with categories such as piece quilting, baby quilt, and wall hanging. “Rugs” includes braided, latched, hooked, crocheted, woven, and miscellaneous. Finally, the “miscellaneous” class features about 40 different categories to choose from — everything from stuffed animals to counted cross stitch to centerpieces. There’s sure to be a category for your latest Internet-inspired craft project. Judging will be held Wednesday of the fair in the Open Class Exhibit Building at 9 a.m. In addition to awards of first, second, third, and fourth place in each category, a rosette is presented to the best of show. Exhibitors and fair goers are invited to sit and watch the judging process.
