Open Class Photography Judging
August 14, 2019 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
One of the most popular open-class categories is amateur photography. Entries in four different classes are judged on composition, clarity, and presentation. Photos can be black and white or color, depending on the class, and subject-matter choices range from scenery to children to sports. Photos should be mounted on black or white poster board, not exceeding 11 x 14 inches in size. Matting is NOT allowed, but cropping IS permitted. Film and digital photography is allowed in all classes. Judging will be held Wednesday of the fair in the Open Class Exhibit Building at 2 p.m. First, second, third, and fourth place will be awarded in each category. Exhibitors and fair goers are invited to sit and watch the judging process, as the verbal critique offered is usually very helpful; however, it is recommended you bring a chair, as a fairly large group gathers to watch.
