Poultry Project Meeting
May 16, 2019 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The 4-H Goat, Poultry, & Rabbit projects teach skills to youth that carry them throughout their adult lives. Feeding, exercising, grooming, and showing animals are all important aspects of the 4-H project. The “grand finale” for most of these youth projects is exhibiting their animals at the Dodge County Fair. Goat, Poultry, & Rabbit meetings teach youth to prepare for fitting and showmanship, care and breeding of stock, disease identification, and animal management. Youth who show animals experience real-life issues as they learn responsibility through raising, showing and judging their animals. Goat, Poultry, and Rabbit projects give students the opportunity to practice and acquire new knowledge in the fields of animal science, business, time management and leadership.
