Animals are exhibited in the farm progress arena by adults or children wearing white pants and a white or colored shirt, belt, and close-toed shoes. Back tags will be provide and should be displayed on the back of each exhibitor.
Breeds include Shorthorn, Angus, Hereford, and a class for other beef breeds together. Age classifications include junior calf, senior calf, summer yearling, junior yearling, senior yearling, and cows two years and over.
Dust off your brushes, sharpen your cutting blades, and replenish your paint selection, because the open-class cultural-arts division is calling all exhibitors with an artistic flair.
Open-class sheep showing is available at the Dodge County Fair for numerous breeds: Shropshire, Corriedale and Colombias, Dorset, Horned Dorset, Hampshire, Suffolk, and a class for any other breeds.
Farming has deep roots in Dodge County, and love for the land is evident in the exhibits featured in the open-class farm crops, vegetables, and fruits division.
Beekeeping is a popular hobby in the Dodge and Jefferson-county area for the fellowship and education it provides. The honey open-class division presents beekeepers with the opportunity to exhibit the fruits of their trade in competition.
