A judging event for 4-H youth who have captured images in photography projects. Exhibits are evaluated in the Danish judging system with a focus composition, mounting care, technique, and image quality.
Youth bring their exhibits to be judged face to face and receive comments/questions. Entries are judged and displayed in the Youth Building at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds.
Exhibitors participate in this Danish style judging where items are evaluated on technique with frosting, fondant, gum paste and more! Creativity, placement, and presentation are highlighted in this popular class.
A judging event for 4-H youth exhibiting clothing projects. These exhibits are original work of the exhibitor and are made as part of a supervised project activity outside of regular school classes.
The open-class clothing division features two basic classes: children’s garments, consisting of about 20 different categories, and adult garments, which includes more than 25 categories.
Farming has deep roots in Dodge County, and love for the land is evident in the exhibits featured in the open-class farm crops, vegetables, and fruits division.
Beekeeping is a popular hobby in the Dodge and Jefferson-county area for the fellowship and education it provides. The honey open-class division presents beekeepers with the opportunity to exhibit the fruits of their trade in competition.
Fair goers can mosey under the grandstand during the fair and discover the world of Dodge County’s open-class flowers division. Spectacular exhibits range from bouquets of one variety and potted plants to artistic arrangements and themed compositions.
Everything from stuffed animals to counted cross stitch to centerpieces. There’s sure to be a category for your latest Internet-inspired craft project.
