Dodge County 4-H is celebrating 100 years of 4-H with special events at the Dodge County Fair. Saturday, August 16 will be 4-H Centennial Day. All 4-H’ers young and old are encouraged to wear their 4-H t-shirts.
There will be a parade through the Fairgrounds starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Family Farm Adventure Tent. The parade will end at the same location and conclude with a Birthday Celebration. We are looking forward to having 4-H alumni join us for this special event. There will also be an area in the Youth Building, which will feature a 4-H Centennial Display throughout the fair.
Each 4-H Club is submitting items for a 4-H Time Capsule. We will fill the Time Capsule on Radio Park Stage on Friday, August 15 at 3:30 p.m. The Time Capsule will then be buried for 25 years with plans to open it up at the 2039 Dodge County Fair.
Join us for the special activities celebrating our 4-H Centennial. If you have any questions, please contact Whitney Rathke at the Dodge County UW-Extension Office (920)386-3790.
