Consider making a difference in the Dodge County community this year. Volunteer your time or sponsor a meal at one of the monthly Beaver Dam Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry events. The food pantry is scheduled under the grandstand at the Dodge County Fairgrounds on the second Saturday of each month. Registration begins at 9:45 am. No pre-registration is required. The food pantry is scheduled monthly from 10:00-11:00 am. The food pantry takes place throughout the calendar year. During the cooler months, the facility is not heated. Please dress accordingly.
In 2018, the mobile food pantry has partnered with Beaver Dam’s Trinity United Methodist Church in the Dodge County community. The church is helping the pantry change lives – one meal at a time.
Fresh foods will be available throughout the year, as well as frozen and dry goods. Approximately sixty pounds of food are distributed to each household in need every month. Over 280 families are served monthly, which typically includes over 800 individuals, 250 children and more than 150 seniors. Attendees are asked to bring their own boxes, bags and containers to transport the items that they have received.
Donations of all kinds are welcome. The mobile food pantry seeks volunteered time, generous food donations and monetary contributions to help end hunger in Dodge County. Every single contribution – large or small – makes a positive impact on the community.

The mobile pantry is sponsored and operated by local community volunteers and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin. If you are interested in volunteering your time, please contact Lana Raffensperger at [email protected]. Individuals and groups always welcome. No ongoing commitment is required and there are many ways to volunteer your time before, during and after each event. The mobile food pantry schedules more than sixty volunteers each month to run the pantry efficiently.
If you are limited on time but are interested in helping end hunger in the community, you may donate funds directly to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin. Funds may be donated online or by contacting Katie Ishmael at [email protected] or (608) 216-7220. A one-time $50 donation will yield an amazing 150 meals to one person who is struggling.
