Car and thrill-seekers can plan on visiting the roaring grandstands during the final day of the 2021 Dodge County Fair. Two demolition derbies will take place on August 22 at 1 pm and 6 pm. The Smash em Crash em demolition derbies will feature approximately 100 cars, trucks, and vans colliding with roaring rides from all over the state. Arrive early on Sunday and get close to the action, as grandstand seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. The first event of the afternoon will last approximately three hours, with the qualifying event beginning promptly at 6 pm. Both events will be held rain or shine.

Statewide participants are expected to travel from Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and the Madison area. Each will bring you a full afternoon of excitement, laughs and pure fair fun. The thrilling sights and sounds will keep you on your feet and your heart pounding for hours.

The drivers will be motivated to bring you a thrilling event. But they are motivated to compete for the final event. With the much-anticipated return of this event, purse money is listed at $8,000 this year – almost double award amounts from previous years. Spectators will see a variety of vehicles competing throughout the day on Sunday: full-size trucks, small compact cars, mid-size cars, full-size cars and “minis” (mini-vans and mini-trucks). Modified vehicles, as well as stock vehicles will be competing in both shows. Mid-size vehicles and modified mid-size vehicles will be competing in the evening show only.

“We look forward to making it a spectacular show”, states Motorsports.

Pre-registration is not available for the events. Participants should arrive at least three hours ahead of show time (by 10:00 am) for registration and vehicle inspection. The registration fee for the demolition derby is $50. Drivers will be refunded their gate admission at registration ($7 when arriving before 12:00 Noon).  All participants must have a fair admission ticket to participate. Participant questions may be directed to Hooked on Motorsports at [email protected] or 608-438-4665. Participation rules and regulations are available on their website and Facebook page.

If families plan on arriving early for prime seating, the pig, duck and goat races will take place at noon and will surely entertain the whole family. This will also be your final opportunity to enjoy more action on the midway rides.

Attendees can take one last opportunity to grab some fresh fair food in between the two afternoon events. Enjoy a corn dog, some popcorn or some delicious cotton candy and soak up these final moments of summer – and the Dodge County Fair season.

Additional FREE fair entertainment includes: Badger State Tractor Pull (Wednesday), Nitty Gritty Dirtband (Thursday), Jordan Davis (Friday), and a back-to-back concert featuring Blue Oyster Cult and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas (Saturday). All of these events are absolutely FREE with your paid gate admission to the Dodge County Fair on August 18-22. Attend the fair for only $5.40 per day with the purchase of a season ticket.  Daily gate admission is $7 before 12:00 pm; or $10 after 12:00 pm.  Children age nine and under are FREE.  Season tickets are only $27 in advance or $35 at the gate.
