After a full weekend of concerts, fair food and youth exhibits – return to the final day of the Dodge County Fair for two rousing demolition derbies, brought to you by Crash Crazy Motorsports. Sunday, August 18 will feature two events. Vehicles will first rev-up at 1 pm for the qualifying show, which will feature four classes running qualifying heats. After some minor repairs, five classes will compete at 6 pm. The second event will include qualifying heats if needed for each individual class and will feature popular full-size trucks, competing for big prizes.
Sunday’s event will have drivers competing for big payouts and trophies. New and seasoned participants are welcome to this fun event which will feature power-wheels, full-size car open class, mid-size car semi-stock class, compact car semi-stock, mini-trucks and mini-van with semi-stock class, full-size trucks and semi-stock classes. Hobbyists and new drivers may want to register with their “gutngo” vehicles that will be fun to wreck at this all-inclusive event.
The demolition derby has a $50 participation fee. Participants must be sixteen years or older. A notarized consent form with parent signature is needed for younger, 16- and 17-year-old drivers. The pit pass fee for this event is $20 and all pit participants must be sixteen years or older with a valid driver’s license. All participants must register by 1 pm on the day of the event. Convenient online registration is available for previous participants only. Registration, rules, forms and general event updates will be available on the Crash Crazy Motorsports Facebook page. Results and pictures will also be posted here after the event.
And make sure that you bring the kids, too. Families will enjoy the kid-friendly power-wheel event for children ages 3-8 years old. A $10 registration fee applies, with one parent/guardian required to participate with each child. A pit pass purchase is not required for the power-wheels event. Child and guardian must exit the pit area immediately after they participate.
