If your family or organization is interested in honoring a loved one or giving a gift with impact, consider the Dodge County Fairgrounds’ “donate a tree and picnic table” program. Expand your impact over the holiday season and throughout the year with a generous, one-time donation. Each shade tree or permanent picnic table gift will honor someone special.

The donate a tree program has been a popular, long-standing tradition that the non-profit Dodge County Fair Association is always appreciative of. This year, the program has been expanded to add picnic tables after the Ganske family donated both a tree and picnic table earlier this year “in loving memory of John Ganske”. If you’re familiar with the popular Gyro food stand at the Dodge County Fair, owner, Hari Paizi, also generously donated six picnic tables to the Fairgrounds.

The trees build strong roots at the Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam and leave a long-term impact on the local community. The trees provide shade each summer to attendees at the annual Dodge County Fair in August. The trees and picnic tables will both make attendees throughout the year more comfortable during their visit to the Fairgrounds.

Both are a unique way to honor a lost loved one, close friend or colleague. Sponsors should include an inscription to honor their loved one, along with their donation.

More than ten trees are planted annually to honor loved ones. Trees are planted twice annually: in the spring and fall. Several of the mature trees were previously lost, due to an outbreak of Emerald Ash Borer disease.

Tree purchases will also support Brehm’s Wonder Creek Nursery, who provides these high-quality, local trees from their two locations in Beaver Dam. Brehm’s also converts their N7127 S. Crystal Lake Road location around the holiday season, as they provide unique holiday items, gifts, planters and wreaths to shoppers. Brehm’s has been providing quality trees and service to the Beaver Dam community for more than fifty years.

If your family member is blessed to already have a filled home and doesn’t have anything on their wish list, these picnic tables or local trees will make a great gift. And did we mention that …. there isn’t any wrapping to do!

To sponsor your tree or picnic table this holiday season, please confirm the type of donation (tree or picnic table) and send a notation for sign inscription and your donation in the amount of $250 per item to:
