The 2022 Dodge County Fair is scheduled with five full days of live music and activities for the whole family to enjoy. The unique, rural festival will take place in Beaver Dam on August 17-21. Free evening entertainment is scheduled daily, with paid gate admission to the fair. Country music icon, Clay Walker, will entertain country music fans on the Moraine Park Stage on Thursday evening at 8pm.

Country music followers will recognize Walker’s hits from the early 90s through the early 2000s. With so many chart-topping hits from the era, fans will sing-along to songs like “Live Until I Die”, “This Woman and This Man” and “Hypnotize the Moon”. His first single, “What’s It to You”, reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks. Since 1993, Walker has released eleven albums with six number one singles. The same year that he released his self-titled album, Walker received a nod as the Best New Male Artist (Radio & Records).

Though times and music delivery have changed over the years, Walker’s popularity hasn’t. His newest single, “Need a Bar Sometimes”, has received more than 20 million plays and streams online. Fans are returning for his “golden Texas twang” and new admirers are drawn to it. Come hear for yourself.

The fairgrounds gates open at 8am on Thursday, with a full line up all morning and afternoon until Walker takes the stage at 8pm. Arrive early for a variety of showmanship and judging throughout the day as well as free activities for the whole family to enjoy in various buildings throughout the grounds. Support local Dodge County 4H youth participants. The meat animal sale will take place from 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday in the Farm Progress Arena.

The midway will feature deals on Thursday, too. Kids will receive unlimited rides with the purchase of a $20 wristband from 1-5pm. Everyone may purchase an unlimited ride wristband later in the evening from 6-10pm for $25.

Walker joins a full lineup of free evening entertainment at the Dodge County Fair. Storyteller and country singer, Russell Dickerson performs an unforgettable concert on Friday evening on the same stage. Saturday night, the fairgrounds will be filled with excitement when Smash Mouth executes an amazing show featuring all of their popular hits and from the radio and big screen. Both concerts will begin at 8pm.

Wednesday will feature the Badger State Truck and Tractor Pull with dozens of vehicles from all over the Midwest competing, from 7-10pm. Badger State Tractor Pullers is the premier pulling association in the State of Wisconsin. And if you didn’t get enough excitement over the weekend, two demolition derbies will take place at 1pm and 6pm on Sunday afternoon.
