We know! Winter has been long for your family and you’re already over cooking and doing the dishes at home. That’s why the Dodge County Fairgrounds will be offering several opportunities for you and your family to get out of the house — just as soon as the temperatures warm-up.

Mark your calendars for multiple events, family-friendly entertainment and tasty treats that will be featured on Saturdays throughout the spring, summer and fall in Beaver Dam. Forget cooking at least once a month and bring the whole family to the Dodge County Fairgrounds! Beaver Dam is centrally located between Madison, Milwaukee and the Fox Valley.

A unique Fair Food Festival has been set for six dates from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Attendees can stop by the Dodge County Fairgrounds to enjoy a variety of grab-and-go items from an assortment of vendors and food carts on April 24, May 8, June 5, July 17, September 4 and October 2. The monthly festival will be held rain or shine. Admission and parking are also free for each event. Attendees only need to purchase their favorite foods and beverages. Funds raised will benefit the non-profit Fair Association and help maintain the event venue for families to enjoy together for years to come.

Enjoy the provided picnic areas to relax as a family or with friends — and enjoy your buffet of carnival food. Or bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chair.

A variety of different fair food vendors will be showcased at each event. Attendees will enjoy a spread of fresh cut fries, ribbon fries, corndogs, chicken strips, pizza, ice cream, pretzels, kettle corn, shaved ice, grilled cheese, funnel cakes, gyros, plus BBQ ribs, brisket, and chicken. The event is looking for additional tasty options to offer even more variety: such as walking tacos, mini donuts, nachos, brats and hot dogs.

Popular vendor spots are limited and often sell-out annual at the Dodge County Fair. If you’re a vendor who has been unable to secure your spot – the new Fair Food Festival is the perfect opportunity for you to secure a space to share your delicious fair food all spring, summer and fall in Beaver Dam.

You may secure your monthly or seasonal vendor space, by contacting Barb Mullin at [email protected] or 920-885-3586. Vendor spaces are only $75 per month or $400 for all six events. Check or money order will only be accepted as vendor payment prior to April 10th or, two weeks prior to each event.  Signed contract and payment must be sent to: Dodge County Fair Association, P.O. Box 654, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. Vendors will enjoy high voltage direct electricity, water, restrooms and garbage receptacles and service.

Make it a whole day in Beaver Dam. These events can be enjoyed alongside additional family-friendly entertainment on select dates. On May 8th, dog lovers will enjoy cheering on their favorite dog or breed at the UKC Dog Show. An action-packed set of motorcycle races is scheduled to entertain crowds on June 5th. Make sure that you subscribe to our newsletter for details on these and additional events.

Families can enjoy an even wider variety of delicious fair food in August, when the Dodge County Fair returns to Beaver Dam on August 18-22. A full schedule of family-friendly entertainment is planned over the five days of the Fair: pig and duck races, magicians, kid-friendly music and the popular midway rides. Kids wristband day will take place on August 19.
